Welcome to the project '365 Morning From Cambridge & Leicester', a project inspired by the fascinating story and now book of 'A year of mornings-3191 miles apart' by Maria Alexandra Vettesse and Stephanie Congdon Barnes. You can see what they did here.
This project on the outside looks similar, but what the makers want to achieve is a documentation of their own lives, which are very different to theirs and their own mornings. The aim is for Helen and Ross to each take a photograph of something from their mornings before 12pm, and then share them with each other as well as adding them onto this blog in the form of diptychs.
So what about the people behind the blog?
Ross Haywood is a 29 year old Electronics and Bio Electronic Systems student at university in Cambridge. Besides that, his interests are cycling, his two gorgeous cats and media. You can follow him on twitter here.
Helen Nutter is a 20 year old Photography and Video student at De Montfort University in Leicester. Other than photography, her interests are cycling, football, writing and music. You can also follow her on twitter, here.
The distance isn't huge by any means, 71.2 miles apart, but without cycling Helen and Ross wouldn't have got talking and met up or formed a friendship. The project will be posted here daily, beginning Sunday.
Enjoy!
